Fire risk assessment services for your business, property, holiday home, offices etc. Serving Wales and South of England
Welcome To Fire Assessed
“Focused on Fire Prevention.”
Fire Risk Assessments
We provide Fire Risk Assessments for all premises, from businesses to residential and holiday properties, pubs to offices, schools to care homes. We can help you be compliant.
We serve all of South Wales and the South of England.
As the responsible person, you must carry out and regularly review a fire risk assessment of the premises.
This will identify what you must do to prevent fire and keep people safe.
You must keep a written record of your fire risk assessment if your business has 5 or more people.
By ‘responsible person’, the RRFSO means anyone who has any degree of control over the premises, which can include, inter alia, the employer, owner, occupier, or managing agent.
There is now a requirement for all employers to:
Carry out a fire risk assessment.
Carry out a fire risk assessment of the workplace taking into consideration all employees and all other people who may be affected by a fire in the workplace, and make adequate provision for any disabled people with special needs who use or may be present in the premises.
Identify the significant findings.
Identify the significant findings of the risk assessment and the details of anyone who might be especially at risk in case of fire. If more than five people are employed or the premises are licensed it is a requirement that these significant findings are recorded; (However, the best evidence of compliance as well as best practice that a written record is produced on all occasions to assist with the process of ongoing reviews).
Provide and maintain.
Provide and maintain such fire precautions as are necessary to safeguard those who use the workplace; and
Provide information, instruction, and training to employees about fire precautions in the workplace.
Fire Risk Assessments.
If you’re responsible for a building, it’s important to do all you can to reduce the risk of fire to keep people safe. It saves lives, it’s your legal duty, and it makes good business sense.

“Dear Steve, thank you for doing our Fire Risk assessments.
Steve was very flexible and accommodating in order to fit us in during a change-over day.
Very helpful and made some good suggestions. All of this was followed up very quickly in a full report which we are able to work through in a timely manner.
It goes without saying that we would highly recommend Steve at Fire Assessed”.
Stuart Warner - PMR
“Dear Steve
Thank you very much for your fire safety survey at PMR’s office in Haverfordwest. Following your survey, PMR commissioned remedial work on the building to bring the electrics and alarm system up to standard.
PMR has asked me to thank you for your work and, in particular, for your clearly laid out report which provided a spec for the electricians. Prior to your visit, PMR staff had no idea that the building was not compliant. They are very grateful for your help in bringing about safer working conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is the Law on Fire Safety?
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005, and the associated Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 came into effect and replaced over 70 pieces of fire safety law. Almost all buildings, structures, and open spaces are covered by the Regulatory Reform Order. However, the Order does exclude residential buildings which are occupied by a single-family unit.
Why Is a Fire Risk Assessment Required?
A fire risk assessment is required to reduce the chance of a fire occurring and to reduce the amount of damage that a fire can cause if it does happen. The assessment will also reduce the chance of death or injury to residents, employees and the general public in the event of a fire. The assessment will also reduce the chance of a fire spreading to adjacent buildings. You also need to have a fire risk assessment as it is a legal requirement for all buildings.
What Is a Fire Risk Assessment?
A fire risk assessment is a report that provides a detailed and comprehensive listing of fire risks that are easy to understand. The findings in the report will be summarised in an Executive Summary and the major concerns will be listed in a separate section. An action plan will also be included to assist you with the creation and implementation of a safety plan. The report will satisfy all regulatory requirements and will be accepted for any insurance purposes.
What Are the Key Points That the Assessment Covers?
There are 5 key points that the assessment will cover:
- Identify the fire hazards
- Identify people at risk
- Evaluate, remove, reduce and protect from risk
- Record, plan, inform, instruct and train (if required)
- Review regularly
